I have an M1 Carbine and am trying to get the specifics on it. Was advised it was WWII issue, but it looks like its got the potbelly stock. Here is the info I have: US Carbine 30 cal, #2973482 with "AAK" engraved on stock. Does anyone know the skinny on this gun? Who made it? When? Worth in very good cond (NRA)? Thanks, Eric

Who was it manufactured by? (on reciever under rear site)
Are there any chartuces on the stock?
Is there a circled P anywhere?
What are the drawing #'s on each part grouping?
A pot belly usually signifies an M-2 carbine
anywhere from $250 to $500, depending upon how big a sucker you can find.
