15, never cleaned it, just a shot of WD-40 every 600 rds. He had 20 30 rd mags, and a kid to load them with stripper clips. They were Harry's reloads, knocked out on his Star Progessive, (IIRC) I know he had a Star, but he might have used something else to load the 223's. I believe that he told me he used Ball C powder. I've shot thousands of rounds thru AR's, and never had a problem, except for a couple of failures to close the bolt, on brand new guns, 1-2 each, on a couple of guns. All closed instantly with a tap on the bolt forward assist. It was just "new gun" tightness-machine marks. those who claim that the AR has to be kept spotless, is malfunction-prone, etc, are just fos, that's all.

I thought it was 3K, which is what you posted earlier in another thread.
What's wrong, can't keep the story straight? can't keep your posts on a single subject within a single thread?
Yep, clearly the mind of a disciplined martial artist.
Chaotic and all over the place.
Yep, pretty clear.
Been working 60 hour weeks, 5 hours of sleep a night, and you aint WORTH careful proofreading. Still MANY times what MOST clowns would have you believe that ANY AR,much less an 11" CAR, will fire without problems, even WITH cleaning in between the sessions. Harry Claflin has killed more men than any 100 other men you know, and HE favors the 11" CAR,and he has done so for nearly 30 years now. His was the first one I ever saw, much less shot, at Wilson's place in Arkansas, in 1978.

Once you get beyond CQB ranges, the 11.5" CAR-15 is an inadequate weapon.
It does, however, have an appeal to those who look upon everything based solely through pistol experience. It is not the weapon of an experienced rifleman.
at 300 yds, torsos at 400 yds,if scoped and used well, with proper handloads.
