any one engagement, even with the auto rifle, by yourself, and you can't COUNT on having any help. That's just TOO much missing, or too many enemies. Ditto having more than 2 such occasions that require firing 20 rds or more, or 4 occasions that require the firing of 10 rds. You are just SCREWING UP too much, if all that firing is the case. So,even if guys ARE right (they aint) that the AR wont take the firing of hundreds of rounds without malfunctioning) between cleanings, it's irrelevant to civilians. You CAN'T expect choper evac, artillery support, air strikes, etc (within mere minutes of requesting same) if you bite off more than you can chew. so you end up DEAD if you can't either WIN, or at least get away, in 20 rds, and usually, you will be dead if you can't do so with 10 rds. The only exceptions will be LUCKY flukes.

So what you HAVE to do is stick to either darkness or heavy cover, where simply going-prone is probably enough to save you, and the firing of a very few rounds is either going to kill everyone that you have-to (or can manage to) or at least will allow you to evade them. The latter of course assumes that you have your head out of your ass, a hopeless assumption in most cases of AK fans. :-) With the advantage of the sound suppressor on the shorty 223 AR-15, .22 unit practice, subsonic .22lr AMBUSH, you will be way head of just spraying the brush with an AK, every time you THINK you have a problem.

Still trying to push off your own inadequacies onto others eh?

Not our problem you can't manage to have people to rely on in a bind.

As for ammo supply if you shoot in real life like you did in IPSC then you'd best avoid conflict cause you'd be out of ammo after the first engagment. If you lived through it that is.

Maybe you should post your missing fast enough to win thread so that people understand your strategy....

Life has a way of throwing roadblocks in your way. The best battle plan rarely survives 1st contact.
