anything much bigger than a blackbird, either. About all it's good for is frogs, and a barbed arrow, even WITHOUT fletching (if it's LONG enough) with a "sliingbow" works far better on frogs than rocks do.

stick,suitable for slingshot making, that youcan REACH, anyway. I know, because I"ve SPENT such time looking for them. In the pine woods, in the desert, above treeline, in the swamps, such forked sticks can be nearly impossible to find. So you end up LUGGING one around, for virtually no good reason at all.

It seems like I read an after-action report about a guy named David stopping a large assailant named Goliath with a rock/sling. The report indicated that it was a one shot stop. ;)
