For proof look back since Columbus at the conquistadors, explorers, mountainmen, pirates, privateers...
AGAINST ignorant savages, with nothing but bows. :-) There will be LOTS of modern rifles and ammo, if shtf, for more than YOUR useful lifetime. So why bother with the VERY inefficient black powder bs? Big waste of time and money.
