fps, in 8" 357(800 ft lbs) The 460 can offer the same thing,from a lw Commander. So why lug around a 51 oz, 13.5" long revovler, when you can have a 7.8" long, 28 oz gun, hmm? swc's don't expand, .45 IS 60% more frontal area than 357, and a 90 gr swc at 2100 fps IS both feasible and controlable in the lw Commander, and it does offer 880 ft lbs. A .5" hole thru both lungs, no critter is going all that far. 200 yds maybe, rarely. 100 yds or less,most likely.

So why bother with specialized, otherwise useless, expensive, hunting handgun, when you can use areal sidearm,provided that you are man enough,that is.

Off topic, but relevant...

Since 800 ft/lbs is obviously adequate for a grizzly, and a grizzly is many times tougher and more dangerous than the toughest man, then half that power (400 ft/lbs) would seem adequate for human defense.

(Can't resist 'stirring the pot' sometimes...)

You have no such proof. So according to the facts, the .357 out preforms your weapon on those creatures by way of PROOF!

gunkid couln't hit a the broad side of a barn from the inside. Col. Wesson, Askins, Cooper, etc... have all past more ships mast than <font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font>kid has telephone poles.

It would not matter if <font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font><font color=red>*</font>kid was a ex-con or not. He doesn't have the BALLS for anything resembling the dedication to become something in life.
