Some possible topics for us to discuss:

homemade ballistics test media

simplified techniques for shooting from elevations (deer stands, etc.)

recoil

why bullets follow the paths that they do

how bullets move through gelatin (cavitation, drag, etc.)

what actually makes bullets expand

why coatings on optical lenses are important

roof prism versus Porro prism binoculars

how bulletproof glass works

how ceramic armor works

how soft body armor works

how "one-way" bulletproof glass works

why your hunting knife is harder than your gun

the WWII German Ultra pistol project

defensive pistol shooting techniques of Eastern European armies

innovative methods of attaining higher muzzle velocities

how rail guns work

squirrel hunting with rail guns (just kidding)

interested, but would also like to discuss using high-energy UV lasers to ionize the air to facilitate the firing of a particle beam weapon within the atmosphere

Magnetic mass drivers are far more fun...though getting the timing of each magnet pulse is a pita.

Actually would like to see some discussion on the stability of a projectile as the velocity increases, and any relationships between velocity and the rotational speed (spin) of a projectile.

Sounds like a lot of good things to discuss

How about a discussion of lubricating coatings on projectiles? Pros and cons.

How about a blueprint for the M41A pulse rifle?
