It would be nice if there was some way to deal with all the threads that are strewn through the wrong forums.
Either move them or delete them. whichever seems more appropriate. Also, it would be good if there was some way to take all the fragmented threads and either consolidate them, move the fragments to a single forum, or simply delete them.
There's also a bunch of "pissing duels" that should probably be moved to the appropriate forum.
I would even be willing to help move the threads, but would leave any deletes to you...

Rich would need to appoint moderators, since he's too busy doing things that probably make him money or that he actually enjoys doing. However, he seems to have an unreasonable expectation of an un biased moderator, which is about impossible since GoonKid has polluted and been thrown off of about every gun site on the net.

That's why I only volunteer to help move the threads around, but leave the deletes (if any) to him.
It's just that with GK being unable (whatever the reason - doesn't really matter) to keep things in the forum, let alone the thread they belong, the site is a fragmented mess.
I just want to put threads relatively where they belong, move the pissing duels, etc. Not get rid of them per se - though I beleive that if posts that were blatantly not where they belonged were deleted, people would stop littering them all of the place

Yeah, time is an issue right now, but why is my desire for a completely unbiased moderator unreasonable?
Should I just set up a poll of everyone who has offered to help as moderator and go from there?

I can tell you up front, I am biased. but, I am willing to help out in a limited fashion, mostly I see the need to move many threads to where they belong. I am not asking to delete posts, though my opinion is that unless there is a penalty for bad behavior, bad behavior will continue. But, this is not my board and my opinion is just that.
This is your board to have it run as you see fit, any moderator should be able to follow your requests, even if they disagree with them.

Hey,I've an idea. Why not rotate moderatorship(is that a word?lol)amongst the membership?Everyone who signed up to mod gets, say,a week or two & then relenquishes mod ability to the next sacrific...I mean the next mod in line?
IOW,everyone who wants to mod gets a chance.Even dinglefritz if he's up for it.
I vote for Aslan to be able to move things around. He is an honorable man and would be fair. Besides if he messes up, just jerk the power ... but he won't do that.

My comment, as explained, stand. Because GoonKid has literally trolled almost every (if not every) gun board on the net and pissed alomst everybody off. That's why you probably won't get an inbiased moderator. That doesn't mean they won't be fair in moderating, just that you're up to a try-it-and-see approach.
