Self proclaimed "SHTF Survival Expert" equates "match" shooting with combat

Apparently he hasn't read a Paladin Press book that deals with handgun use in the field when most everyone is carrying a rifle and web gear and possiably a pack.

Maybe he thinks everyone will be wearing Nikes, spandex shorts and colorful bowling shirts with factory logo's on them. While they stand on the firing line waiting for a buzzer to sound so they can bring a pistol into action that has been so heavily modified that it no longer has any practical use but to play a specific game with.

What would you expext though, the "Expert" dosn't find it nesseccery to actually try anything he advocates.

Dick is somthing he actually knows about. It comes from his "prison love experience".

He lacks any real world experience to evaluate the practicality of his ideas. Anyone who has ever carried a pistol in their pocket knows that there are serious problems in drawing and firing rapidly using the pocket carry. The pocket carry has its uses, but it is not a high speed draw, shoot and hit technique. Since GK does not know this his real world experience with the pockrt carry is very limited or nonexistent.

What's a pocket pistol have to do with a 60 oz. compesated, dot sighted full size race gun and what do buzzers, open carry speed rigs and known courses of fire have to do with handgun combat?

JD has no real world carry experience so the points are missed on him, his propensity to equate IPSC with real world use of handguns is only eclipced by his trying to equate combat rifle shooting to IPSC.

JD's just a rookie that's all, that wouldn't be such a bad thing in it's self, if he wasn't such an asshole about it.
