Does the rancor and vitriolic exchange on Armslocker carry with it a negative energy, bad karma, or poison to one's soul?
It seems, I have witnessed people change in a retrograde manner after exposure to and eventual participation in the bickering that seems the norm or eventuality in most threads here.
I know it affects me, and I have seen it change others. I have eschewed such behaviour, when I recognize it in myself, but it is both persistent and insidious, and seems to possess an energy of it's own.

Yes, I agree.

JMDs bitching bugs the **** out of me. You wonder if the man is that stupid or just being annoying. You wonder if such ignorance and intolerance is humanly possible.

entropy increases over time.

Chaos is increasing.

It will be a karmic eventuality, but such is life...

Could be, but not necessarily.
Depends on if the person lets it control them or not.
People's behavior on this board is not an indicator of such, you'd have to look at their overall behavior on other boards, and the best would be i fyou knew them in the real world before, and now, and see if there is a change. A change here could be mere exasperation that carries over to one person or it could also be a simple change in tactics.

The question of whether or not it has any real effect on you, is to see if it has changed you in your real life dealings or not.
It hasn't to me. If it does, I'll take a hiatus, or leave altogether.
Believe it or not, I have to daily deal with crap that is even more abrasive than this, perhaps that makes a difference.

I just like shooting the **** and clowning around. I'm not too proactive when it comes to starting topics, but I like jumping in on them when I feel I have anything relevant to add. Sometimes, what I have to add isn't so relevant, but I usualy get a laugh out of it. If someone else does, too, that's good enough for me.

Our Problem Child is good for reminding me that forums shouldn't be taken seriously. It's only when I lose perspective that I get emotionally hijacked.

Aptly chosen words Wyly "emotionaly highjacked" for that is one objective trolls strive for, they weasle their way under our skin and try to manipulate people. The angrier you or I become, the more enthralled they become. They thrive on being disruptive.
