92F?

I honestly don't remember, my bad. But the slide is so damn open it's the only one I can think of that would allow it.

BTW- You did mean current use or did I hump the hound?

Mabu, the 92F ejects to the right. I'm thinking of a pistol that ejects to the left that is currently in use by some well-known nations.

krept is right again! The Walther P-38 ejects to the left. The P-38 and newer P-1 version are both in common use throughout the world.

Is the P-38 issued by a country or just used by reserves/police etc. I thought it had beel replaced long ago by more modern handguns.

RIKA, stevenms2008, Chile, Portugal, Pakistan and some Middle East / South Asian countries still issue the P-38 / P-1 to their troops. It is still used throughout Africa, too, although increasingly as a police or reserve pistol. Norway replaced it with the Glock 17 and Germany replaced it with the P8 (9mm HK USP), but both still have P-38 / P-1 's around.

Dang, I didn't know that it was still in use that much.

I guessed at the 92 because of it's lineage to the P-38.

Revolvers "eject" to the left also, if you really want to stretch the meaning of eject....

SA revolvers don't eject to the left, neither do top breaks.

Dang, I didn't know that it was still in use that much.

Mabu, most countries issue folding stock assault rifles in lieu of pistols. It's not because they don't trust their troops with pistols. Rather, they view the short assault rifle as much more effective. Another plus is the commonality of training. The short AR does not require additional training and parts like the pistol.

When a pistol is needed, the P-38 is still a good choice. Look at how many shooters prefer the 1911 and it's 94 years old.
