I never was able to answer that without pissing just about everyone off.
Let's just say "Christian, no sectarian loyalties".
I prefer to say I have a relationship with God, not that I'm religious. As I don't do rituals, or formulaic worship.

Was born and baptized as a Protestant, did the sectarian thing (had to go to church) till I was 13. Became interested in Buddhism (zen in particular) and although it is not a religion it has stuck with me ever since as a core belief. Recently converted to Islam but feel all roads truly lead to the same place.

raised Methodist, went to Catholic College, married a Ukrainian Catholic (Eastern Orthodox vs Western).

Through martial arts got hit with Buddhism and Islam. Like much of both. (Think the 5 pillars of Islam make a lot of sense.)

Definitely believe in God, pretty sure he believes in me. Like any relationship, have to put some effort into it to make it work.

Another hard to nail down topic.

I think we all end up as worm food, but I dont think that makes me an athiest.

I think that its the ultimate form of reincarnation. When I decompose, I will sustain literally billions of other organisms, just like billions of organisms have sustained me...

In this way, I will live forever, without the boredom associated with being concious for it.

Or perhaps, something else is living forever, through me. :)

This is a thorny subject sure to make somebody angry. I belong to God and to Jesus. Don't go to church or participate in any organized religion, have no dogmas nor participate in rituals. God is inside of me wherever I am.

Leech or not, would you rather be having sex or not having sex? I think I've made MY point.....

To answer the question, my parents were Methodist, but I never went to church. (Isn't that the truth with most Methodists...lol.)

I'd consider myself a Solipsist more than anything, though. It's the only "religions" - it really isn't a religion, but we'll call it that today - that is self-evident and doesn't make us take the hard parts on "faith" that answers the questions in a way that lets me sleep at night.

Christian - no preferance. Was sentenced to 6 years of Catholic School that just made me wonder about what was happening, kept my beliefs in God and Christ but haven't much faith in my fellow man. Currently a churchgoer at a nondenominational church.

Born and raised Pentecostal.

Wife couldn't stand it though so we go to a Bretheren church now. She'll tell you that we are "Bretheren", but I'll always be Pentecostal. It's a hard one to turn away from. I need a little fire and brimstone in my preaching.

That being said, I believe it's all good as long as it follows the bible.

Devout, and Practicing Agnostic. I am having trouble accepting all the dogma, rituals, and other apputrances invoved in my Better Halfs church(Southern Baptists), and am not hedging any bets one way or the other. I thought the pharesies where eliminated in the New Testament, but still find them on late night TV, and early Sunday morning.

Talk about reviving an old thread.

bull420: Any chance you could tell what type of Native American? Now that you mentioned native american religion I have this odd urge to study one or two for the sake of knowing something new and understanding.

Rika: Religion can be a thorny subject but it seems to me the people that get all up in arms about one path or another are somewhat shaken in their own. Some people can be really engaged in it but after a while one gets used to those people and knows how to engage in conductive discussions with them that do not have anything to do with philosophy and theology. I know alot of Christians that seem to match your perspective. They seem to know the bible even more than the churchgoers. Not dissing churchgoers or fundamentalists, just a local observation.

Tuna: Cant say that I trust fellow-man much either. Miami has really made me think of humans from the perspective of a lab project. Its quite sad really, sometimes I even feel bad that I honestly think that way. I guess we can only hope that the human race gets a tad more enlightenment and begins to care about each other?

To (not) answer the origional question I merely say that trying to pigeonhole a generic title on me as I tried to do for quite some time really dosent give my personal belief system justice and for all the times ive tried to explain it online the whole jist and many key elements of it never got described. Pigeonholeing is bad...

What makes you think im a "toad boy"? What would I be scared of? Im a reserved person, that is different from being a brown noser.

As for humbleness I assume your refering to my comment on the human race. I find it to be an unfortunate truth. Im being quite honest, but then again, I dont use your definition of humble, i use the dictionaries: " Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful". I can be arrogant at times and I must work on that, after one studies humans extensively its hard to keep elitist thoughts down. Self honesty is a different matter, i do find myself to be self honest.

Im a calm, level person. Believe it or not its rare for me to show much emotion or excitement. I guess text makes people "feel" different then they would be in reality. If I pop any veins its probly from my cholesterol rich diet (cheese and meat are the bulk of my eating) :(

I dont have a favorite ear. Exterior pressure seems to affect my left ear more while sinus problems seem to affect the right one. Why would it be rotting off?

Its soon to be .338 "ZSniper Death Ray" :nyah: Heck, who cares what it is; itl kill any human easy as pie.

The way you phrase yor reply makes me think that you believe im being agressinve in my conversation or screaming through text in one form or another. That would be a false impression. I talk in a medium-pitched monotonous voice, with excepton of the phone where i sound like a 2 year old for no apparent reason. Im really a laid back guy. No "force" is ever in my wording.

BTW, what did that have to do with religion?
