A lot of energy is used up making and breaking bonds. Almost nuclear.
Age, nor knowledge, nor experience, none of it makes it any easier.

If you pick 'em up by their ears it doesn't hurt 'em as much.

Some bonds are made to be broken. Some seem to be made to keep forever. I've been both places and prefer the latter.

There's not a whole lot I can add to this...
Good, bad, indifferent, we all take something with us from each relationship we've been in.
Somehow, your life will be richer in the long run from any relationship you've ever been in, even the bad ones.
(Ok, I'm basically a "the glass is half full" kind of person.)
Optimist - believes we live in the best of all possible worlds.
Pessimist - scared the optimist might be right.

If there is a good reason why they were made, there should be an equally good reason not to break them. If they were made naturally...

I dunno, people and circumstances change. It also depends on the type of bond we're talking about.
I'm not with my first girlfriend (from high school), but I'd say that was a good bond while it lasted, but it would not have been viable as a permanent bonding.
By the same token, I've been married to the same Woman for 20 years. No reason to believe this bond isn't permanent.
So, like I said it depends...
sometimes you don't know, until you know. Other times you may never know for sure.

Lucille,
Just remember, life is dynamic. We change through time in many different ways. Sometimes, those differences are not something that two people can overcome. All we can do in these situations is make it easy as we can for all involved and lean on our friends, family, and God for comfort and love.
We all go through lifes trials and tribulations and we all have to take it one step at a time. Yes, it hurts now but in the end, if we are strong and we stand tall, we become better people for our pain.
If you need someone to chat with, feel free to email me and I'll be happy to give you a call or give you my number if you want to give me a call. bcr226@hotmail.com

I wrote an earlier observation elsewhere on the board about appropriate posts on the board, in relation to some of the arguing and inappropriate behavior that appears here sometimes.
As you see from this thread, there IS space on this site for non gun related topics, and ways to respond to them which help others.
This particular subject has been on my mind (breaking up) and I have received some help and well thought out counsel from some of the members here, and I appreciate the support more than I can say right here...

Awe shucks lil' cow girl...don't get yer spurs rusty...jus' find a new horse.
:D
I've always found it to be tremendously helpful to have an overweaning interest in a hobby or two. People come and go, hunting and shooting stay.

Thank y'all. I have many hobbies, am working, am going to school later in life after raising kids, it's hard; will be getting a gun and learning to shoot.
And even with all that, life is difficult sometimes right now.
Time will help. Many of y'all are helping too, and I thank you.
