and the .22 has its force a LOT more concentrated than you can manage with your knuckles. :-) I fubared a guy REALLY bad once, when one of my fingers went up his NOSE. :-) He couldn't PRY an eye open for MANY minutes.

Any idea what a baseball bat would have? One good hit with that can = curtains.

I saw a guy whacked pretty good with an ALUMINUM bat in the back of head, and then AGAIN after he was down. Saw hittee a few months later, he was fine, except for some mild memory loss. The BOP called in a chopper evac for him, took them 40 minutes to arrive, at Phoenix FCI. Downed and killed are very often not the same thing, but ou can of course go over and tack his head to the floor, give him some artificial inspiration with "knee drops' to his chest, etc. :-)

Just like you to advocate beating someone to death.

I loathe you.

You-know-who may have a point. I saw a demo on kevlar. Volunteer allowed himself to be shot w/.22 lr. Knocked him on his ass. He was hurting.

i know a guy who had a 12 TON jack 'kick-out' from a mobile home frame, and tagged him square between the eyes in the fore head[ha] it left a permenant
'silver-dollar' dent in his fore-head, and it didn't cure him ! as he was a BLITHERING IDIOT before it happened[although it did not help him any, either.]

That's odd. The dude who runs 2nd Chance was blazing away with a .44 magnum in each hand hitting himself in the chest one year. Every summer he runs an event and stages some demo where he tries to top last year's stunt. That's a pretty good endorsement, to my mind, when the president is out there wearing one of his vests and and letting himself get shot.

This was on the TV. It knocked him down, and he was yelling.

Did this armor the guy from 2nd chance use have plates?THe one I saw didnt. Just the kevlar.

I'd guess it had plates. I don't see how he could take full charge .44 loads without some pain and serious bruising otherwise, possibly even broken ribs.

And the knocking down part...that was pure overreaction on the dude who got shot's part. It probably did hurt like hell, but the kinetic energy just isn't there to knock someone on their ass.

The second chance guy had a phone book under his vest to soak up blunt trauma.

Sounds like a real pussy.

Thats NOT what I meant when I said it knocked him down. It was from the pain, not the bullet impact.

It was from the pain

THATS what I meant... what a pussy...?

Ive seen guys take 9x19mm hits on soft bodyarmor and they didnt flinch.

you are right,CHIPATHINGHY! this [1] i picked up is only good with the K-30
trauma plate, but IF used in conjuntion with a K-47 trauma plate the rating goes off the charts,as in .300win mag protection, but after a week in the hospital[after being hit with that rd.] a person might have been better off killed out right, that is what the guy who sold it to me said anyway!

[please, bear in mind he was also 'windy as a sack-ful of farts' i.m.o.]

I was addressing wiley. He assumed I meant the bullet knocked him down, instead of the pain.

No I didn't. I assumed the guy was either a pussy, or that the vest sucked and transmitted too much force to a small area. Maybe both! :D

Jabs and bullets have two different functions:
A bullet is designed to incapacitate
A jab is mostly used to wear out your opponent or to distract him.
