View Full Version : Question about AR front site
I was able to zero my m4a3 at 100 yds. but at 200 it hits about 6" left.
Not being a gunsmith, to my mind this tells me that the front site is not indexed properly. Am I right? Can I do anything about this myself?
Thanks

Your barrel may not be indexed on the receiver correctly. My advise is to take it to an AR smith and have him properly index it. Basically, the barrel nut must be loosened, the barrel moved to the correct position and then the nut retightened properly.

so much for all the claims that you can zero a gun 's sights at 25 or 50 yds, hmm?

And what does that have to do with 100yd and 200yd zeroes Rainman?
What this does show however is one thing that can happen when a rifle is not assembled correctly.
