Same rules essentially the same as the origional failure to stop drill, except done with your non-dominant hand. If your ambidextrous this shouldnt be much of a problem.

To recap the rules:

5 yards
Double Tap to the Chest, Single round to the head
5 repetitions
Times (if possible), Chest Group Size, Head group size scores

However this time:

Start at low ready (not all of us had holster friendly ranges)
Non-dominant hand. still two handed, just non-dominant hand has the trigger.

I will shoot it this weekend, along with my re-shoot of the origional. "hollowtip" will be shooting both of these with me as well.

I'll try it, if I am ALONE at the range. I really dont want anyone to see me doing this.... This will be interesting, since I had a hard time with the exercise using my dominant hand.

I like these matches. It definitely gets me out of my comfort zone.

Here is mine:

http://img265.echo.cx/img265/5238/gunpics0053xa.jpg

Times are:

1) 2.83
2) 2.96
3) 2.57
4) 2.31
5) 2.80

Note the missed head shot. You can't see it, but it clipped what would be the left ear of target.

My weak hand shooting from the ready is slower than strong hand from concealed holster.

Shot this one this AM as well. Only got to run three iterations before bodies showed up, so again, no pics.

Same IALEFI Q target as with the other drill. 8-inch high chest ring & 4-inch head ring.

One head shot outside of ring.

Shot this left hand only from Low Ready [belt buckle of IALEFI Q].

1.62
1.67

Well, heres my left/offhand shooting. From belt buckle ready. Times for the Colt 1911. 2.57, 2.45, 2.68, 2.51, 2.84. The slide didn't close all the way on the 2.84 so I had to ram it shut and got the neck shot.

I shot it a second time with a M1917 S&W Army 45acp revolver using full moon clips. S&W times were 2.61, 2.73, 2.65, 2.82, 2.76.

That kind of shooting takes a lot of concentration.

Now WHY bother using BOTH hands, and non-dominant shooting? Cause you aint any good with just the weak hand?

-If you get shot in either arm
-If your at a really obscure angle needing odd hand
-If your ambidexterous (such as myself)
