The tendency is to view the rifle as a long range [at least longer range than a pistol :D] tool.

However, defensive situations don't 'change' simply because you were smart enough to bring a bigger gun.

With that in mind, I suggest a repeat of the 'Failure To stop drill' with a rifle but at pistol distances.

Chamber loaded and safety engaged, from Low Ready

7M [Just to be a little easier on the targets]

2 shots to the chest

1 shot to head

Record times and groups

Variation 1

Same drill from sling carry of your choice.

This also sounds interesting and do-able. Might be fun to try with the AK. How many reps?

Same 5 runs at the other drills. I'm planning to run it with an AK myself.:D

28 rnds 2/body, 1 head, fired asap. Would have knocked his earrings right off!

using a .30-06 or a .308, why would I need a third shot in the head??

Sounds like fun,... pity the poor bastage who is on the receiving end,... M1 carbine - 30 rd magazine. The 110gr hollow points should do the job.... should be able to repeat 10X if they are willing to do it.....
