The company (IMA) you steered me to, acknowledged my order and I should have the 1917 holster by Wednesday. You saved me about $50.00. This is the fourth or fifth time I have benifited from your advice. Walther P38, CZ52, etc. Too bad this forum does give "Brownie Points" anymore. Anyway, Thank You.This Bald Eagle is for you. Poor picture, but Northwest Ontario, July 1, 2005.
Thank you Sir. Always my pleasure to help a friend. Raptors are my favorites. Bald Eagles are kind of scarce but symbols of strength and freedom. They ROCK!
Those are neat holsters. I'm tempted to get one myself.

I agree. Awesome animals, but still uncommon in most areas of the SE. Up north, they have exploded in numbers in many states now (thankfully). Travel up to Yankee land if you want to see more in a week than you've likely seen in your life in Texas.

The Bald Eagle population has grown by leaps and bounds in the Wisconsin,Minnesota, Michigan and Ontario areas. In Central Wisconsin the number of active nests in 1975 was twenty. Now there are so many they can't document every one. This gives me hope.

I see them often, especially down by the Fraser River.
Somebody has been killing them off though for their feathers and claws, its terrible.

2 yrs ago me and my brother were fishing lake conroe (just out side of conroe texas) we were fishing for largemouth bass. well we got onto a nesting area as the fish were in there spawn. well i spied a female and was just getting ready to throw a plastic worm at her when a mature bald eagle came out of nowhere and snatched my fish right up, right in front of me. i just stood there with my mouth open and asked my brother if he had ever seen a bald eagle in texas, he said no. i told him to turn around and he could see one flying off with my fish. it was one of the pretties sights i've ever seen. i was glad to donate my 3-4 pound bass to a good cause. all the other fish in the bedding area disappeared. we left and went some place else. didn't catch many fish that day but after that i had one of my best days on the water in years.
Not a Bald Eagle but one of the most thrilling things I've ever seen was a hawk kill. I was sitting at a stoplight next to an open field. I looked to my right and saw a hawk swoop down. He grapped a small animal and tried to take off but it was too heavy for him. I stared at the sight while people behind me honked. Finally he took off very low, bumping his prey (a rabbit) against the ground. He disappeared from view into the nearby ditch to feast on lunch. I'll never forget that sight.

Memories... I had a roommate from Conroe when I lived in Pasadena.
