have been dealing with a lot of different stressors lately from many angles. Meditation/mind clearing and bourbon can only go so far. Every once in a while, there are moments like this that make everything worthwhile, truly...

My buddy, almost 4 months old: :D

Nice looking son you have there Krept.

It's nice to have positive reminders of why we put up with the crap we do in life.

Oh yeah!

I don't care what kind of day you're having. One smile from your child and wham! You can't help but feel good.

Right There is your immortality. You can tell him nothing but you can show him everything. Love him, love him, love him.

thanks folks

I try to anticipate changes as far off as I can see them in my life. I knew that having a child would be a significant event but I underestimated the impact it would have on me as a person.

To me, the saying "I would die for" so-and-so has almost become cliche. I could easily say that I would die for my mother, my wife, my best friend, etc. But here comes along this vulnerable little person and dang if it doesn't change you. Even rearing a baby pet up to full grown doesn't quite have the same gravity.

I would not hesitate to be torn into a billion pieces if it ensured he would be able to live a fulfilling life.

Krept, that's it exactly. When it comes to wife & kids, as John Candy said in a movie once:

"Love's just not a big enough word."
