RIKA

Well, here I am. The first photo was made by a really talented photographer. Its me but the photo highlights good qualities, especially my hair. The second photo is me without makeup or hair fixed, just like you would see me if I invited you over for a beer. The pic was made before my leg got messed up; can't get down on my knees like that now. The pup is one that I was obedience training. Razz, the Doberman, looks on disapprovingly at the little rascal.

Hope you like them.

Believe it or not, you look almost exactly like I pictured you, long hair, parted in the middle. It's uncanny. And you are NOT plain. Twenty years ago I would be hunting you down. (Make that thirty) I've been married for twenty - eight. Thanks for the pictures.

Maybe I should have done it sooner but I just had to feel comfortable, if you know what I mean. Good photography does a lot in the first photo. Yeah dude, you're dead on.

First of all, the "hot chicks" on TV and the glam rags aren't. Once you see them up close, you see they had to use a trowel to put on enough makeup to make them look like they do.
Second, they really believe their own PR people's spin. So not only do you see their greasy, pimply ass once you acetone all that makeup off (and a lot of the "hotties" are average at best with the makeup off), you have to put up with tons of **** from them, that you wouldn't put up with from any other woman.

Heck I'd rather have a not-supremely-hot chick (hell, I'd rather have an ugly chick) that's level-headed and I can GET ALONG WITH, than some prissy [insert c-bomb] that I have to drag down to the tire shop to have her tits reinflated every six months that's an absolute nightmare to even be around.

It's an even bigger bonus to have one that not only doesn't mind you having more guns than some medium-sized countries, not only understand that you really DID need that 4th FAL, but needs one of her own. Or one that understands why that 36" bar is necessary on an $800 Stihl chainsaw, and why that $99 electric one with a 12" bar just won't do. Or one that not only "gets it" when you rave about big block V-8s and Borg-Warner or Tremec transmissions, but is oddly turned on by them. Or that not only likes riding bitch on your Harley, but likes to have the warm oil poured over her afterward. . .

Point being RIKA, you're not ugly, you're not even close. But what's really attractive isn't the looks, it's the attitude (although you need to stop that trying-to-pay-for-gifts crap).

(although you need to stop that trying-to-pay-for-gifts crap).

See? That's is where I disagree with you. I like RIKA's attitude of seemingly wanting to earn her property herself (i.e., "getting them honest") over having something GIVEN to her. I've NEVER liked gifts in my life. That doesn't mean she shouldn't accept the gifts (duh!), but that doesn't mean she is in the least bit wrong in wanting to pay for something she likes over getting something she likes free.

Rhino

I can attest to the fact that one lady I dated when on stage (she was a stripper, I know Me of loose morals) was the ultimate hottie dream girl but the time se spent getting to look that way with the makeup all over and the attitude she had were not worth it. Besides she was not nearly as hot with the makeup all messed up at 6AM all show and BS no substance, and I hate to say it dead in the sack. Ladies who veiw themselves as average seem to try harder to please their mate and are more loving ang accepting of his attempts. Maybe it is just me, but Someone wrote a song in the 80's called Plain Jane that says it all.
"She falls somewhere inbetween Levi's and vogue magazine, She dont paint on her face but what she does dhe does with tasete everybody calls her plain jane, but she's drivin'me insane"

Probably because she was disgusted with all men. Face it - where she worked didn't let her see the best side of many men nor many of the best men period. :madeuce:

That combined with the fact that she was convinced that she was a friggin goddess so I should be greatful and bow before her.

Allow me if you will to make the analogy of cars.

Yes a Jag XKE is beautiful and sexy an can perform, but as for me Give me a good old american muscle car, say a 68 Plymouth GTX, Not as sleek and sophisticated, but has charicter, power, I am familiar with how to make her purr or roar with my own hands , not as high maint. and it is an all american beauty. A little harsh at times and can get a little outa control when you drive her too hard in the turns. That is how I like cars and women. Gimme and all american beauty.

They aren't worth half what you pay for them, but they are worth it for, well, what they're for (no, I don't own a Harley). But I'd take one over an overpriced crotch rocket any day.

I wouldn't win a crotch rocket in a lottery...lol.

Well see, I can speculate why you don't liek the idea of gifts. A gift is something that one gives out of love. Most people who don't like gifts, are people who, when they give gifts, expect something in return (making it not a gift) and figure that everyone expects something in return.

Don't try to play the psychologist - you aren't very good at it. I just think it is improper for people to accept expensive gifts from others. (I'm not talking about a husband buying a wife a car, obviously.) If they want to and are OK with that, what matters what I think? Nothing. I can like or dislike a person's actions and consider their actions honorable or dishonorable based on MY system of morals, though. They can, but don't have to, agree with me. Doesn't matter.

If I can't afford something I don't need and someone gives it to me as a freebie, it is charity and no different from a welfare check IMO, but that is MY opinion. Things I NEED are different from things I do NOT need. For some of us, it really IS easier to give than to receive. I don't mind giving (especially if it is HELP) - often to a fault - but I don't like accepting things I don't earn.

Rejecting a gift is more than not taking an object, it is a rejection of that person's love (intended rejection or not).

I need to get on my rubber boats now because it is getting deep. :nyah:

It's exactly what i said, an observation.

Sorry, I didn't realize you could say off the wall implications and I wasn't allowed to trry and refute them. My bad.

Dude, you look like Tim Curry:

You know, Aslan, he really does. Am actually having trouble trying to decide whether this is Hard Rock or Tim Curry. With the gun, it's confusing.

Best,

I guess I'll have to dig the pic of me and Tim Curry out and scan it. Got it taken a few years back when I met him in NY.

Sigh... Oh well, I guess it could be worse... could be mistaken for Gunkid or Mel Blanc

RIKA,

As I have often told you, your fears are unfounded. People like you for the person you are. Of course they also see that you are very attractive.

Don't be afraid of rejection, either. Throughout the various forums we all frequent, you are among the most admired and respected.

But; "You are perfectly attractive, so knock it off w/ the doubt's; I'm SURE that often us guys give you a second glance at the minimum..!"
I hope you don't find offense in that, & if you do "I'm Sorry; Thats just the way I see It..!"

Damn glad to hear it, RIKA. I've been married to both "types" and I'm sticking with #2 until death due us part or she leaves me! Life's just too damn short to pick ourselves apart because of what TV touts as "hot". Easy-going and happy is sooo much more important.

What the heck, I’ll play along; I’ve been gone a while. This is a number of years ago, when on a relative’s back porch and a squirrel jumped on my back.

I’m some older now, with a beard. (A largely-gray beard... :( )

Thank you for the pic.

Rika – You’re very generous. Slightly deluded perhaps, but in a generous way... :)

Rich – Roger that on the teeth; and on the jaw strength to go along with it. (That one didn’t get me but one did when I was a kid.)

As small as they are and being able to crack nuts open with their teeth like they can... that’d be like us cracking coconuts with our teeth.
