Can anybody suggest some decent, not too expensive Ngiht Vision Goggles?

I wish I could answer in a positive way. The Russian NVG's that sell for around $500 are a POS and usable only with the infra red light. Same thing for the Weaver Night Owl. Back a couple of years ago I used a Russian Gen 2 Aries scope for varmint hunting. It actually worked pretty well on a fairly bright night. Guy I borrowed it from said it cost around $1300.

Bottom line is, anything that is really usable is going to cost $2500 - $5000. If anybody comes up with a cheaper solution I sure want to know about it.

You can get Gen 2 and Gen 3 PVS 5 goggles for around $1000-$1300. The only thing you'll want to do is convert the battery box to a couple of AA vs. the military battery that it uses.

As time passes, more will be available, at lower prices, too. hit more of these forums, and post want ads, rika. Like GunBroker.com, and CSP Forums. At the latter, tell Dick I sent you. :-) Get on the wish list at GunsAmerica.com, etc.
