I like Spyderco knives. I just do, OKAY!?!?
Seriously I don't really have a lot of them... I've gotten picky about knives... I've finally gotten a bit picky about guns too hehe.
But I do love them so I couldn't help myself.
I've been searching for a less expensive option in a fixed blade carry. Personal fixed blade carry is immensely practical but also very difficult. I had considered the SPOT breifly but I wanted a more conventional blade shape for ease of sharpening.

The initial SWICK run is limited to just under 500 pieces. Spyderco is wanting to see if this product will sell.
I've had mine for a little while now and I like it. My daily carry knife is a Manix. I love the Manix like the child I'll never have and always will but the Swick might actually be more practical.
I am still playing with it, "flowing" with it, if you will, through different grips. My hands are far too large to realistically facilitate reverse grip edge in styles with the Swick, but I'm honestly more interested in this knife for a combination of utility and as a handgun retention aid if a goblin ever went for my CCW. How would that ever happen, I have no idea, but I plan for everything.
The design facilitates simple grab and rip maneuvering, and dropping it in use is quite hard. It's halfway between a knife you wear and a knife you hold. Despite my large hands and its small size it seems to fit okay. If you're familiar with the idea of "knife boxing" I believe you'd find it to your liking.
What I like most is that it's so thin, and long enough to get a meaningful hold on, and small enough to actually carry. Now I want you to understand it's not illegal for me to have a knife or carry a knife, but it's in my interest to be very discrete about it. The Manix is honestly pushing it.
I have taken one of my Tekloks and attached it to the sheath... belt carry works okay more or less, just wish they'd drilled the holes to facilitate better angled carry.
It neck carries well enough I suppose, but it prints pretty bad through a shirt that actually fits on my body at least.
The thing that will make or break a fixed blade like this is: Can you carry it?
I think I have the answer though: The Ripp Cord.

I'm going to try it... It's so thin and short enough, it's invisible in the pocket, and retrieval would be instant.
