I own two MKIII's but after looking at our Canadian members MK4's, I had to have one. At $109.00 from J&G Sales I'm not expecting a pristine rifle, but I want one. I'll post pictures and a range report. Look out for a gun nut with a C&R license and a credit card. I really blame Garand and Coyote. Well, I'm coming up there soon and eat some of your fish, so there.

Terry G- Good choice of rifles to get. I'm tempted to see about buying another myself. I just picked up one not long ago but I'd like to get a 2nd before they are all gone at a reasonable price..
I'll probably have to settle for a 2 groove one but it's better than none and they are supposed to be good shooters.

What is a Mk4?
Or do you mean a No 4?

That's it Gecko, as my ego hasn't been bruised enough. I got ripped into shreds on a C&R forum. Yes, it' a bloody No.4, not a MKIV. Happy now? I'm going to go away and cry, or shoot someone's dog to make myself feel better. I feel so hurt. :argue:

Hold out for a "Longbranch" manufactured No 4 Mk 1. You deserve a good CANADIAN manufactured rifle. :):):)

Sorry man, didn't mean anything by it.Just kidding you, I like your style. I would do the same. One of my post's replying to yours got deleted because I lost my temper with john. The VC were very brave, but poorly trained and equipped. My unit only rarely encountered them in the central highlands. Some of them had French 7.5MM rifles fromm WWI. The NVA we clashed with frequently were better equipped and trained, but had no better skills than the average GI. We whipped them every time. Brave as hell, though. Their markmanship was really poor. One "leading private"?? a PFC? told our interrogator that he fired exactly 10 rounds in training. And he was coming up against us? He needed a wheelbarrow (Not armored) to carry around ball's like that.

Enfields sure are addictive. Hope you get a good one!
Have you tried Sierra's 174 grain Match King? I've been wanting a scope mount ever since I started using them.

Your correct gunkid, in your fantasy, it really doesn't mean anything. But then again its only YOUR fantasy, not our reality.
