hey all. Good news bad news. Bad news got hit by an IED, Good news is all I got was some peppering from dirt and a shapnel wound and a/broken arm on my right arm, and am now pending a Purple heart. They sent me home because of the chance of infection because they called it an open fracture (the wound was right on the crack and it got a bunch of dirt in the wound)but I am still pissed. The dumbass insurgents must have been related to Gunkid because they placed the IED too deep or something becaues me and 3 of my Iraqi soldiers were all less than 10ft from the blast and we all walked away with minor wounds. Hell we were lucky. I just saw a link that said Gunkid/andy/whateverhe goesbynow got picked up in norman Ok. Thats only bout an hour or so away from me, I wish I had heard about that one. Well since Ive been back (got home the 6th) I bought a Cetme and a Handi-rifle in .223/5.56. What sucks is that because it is my my right arm I cant even go shooting till the arm heals up. talk about a pain. I was looking forward to going home and doing some serious shooting. Ill drop you all another line when I can. I may try to go shoot the AK off a bench lefty today just to smell some gunpowder LOL :fullauto:
Welcome back - glad you're mostly in one piece!
That handi-rifle should work pretty well lefty until your flipper heals up.

Thank you for your service! I'm glad you're OK.I soaked up a few broken bones over the years...oddly enough th eless severe cracks and dings seem to trouble me more than the large breaks(dampness, rain etc).
If you found Chuhuahua tracks near the terrorist's AO,THAN you'd have confirmation they took counsel from Gunkid.

Glad to see you made it back in one piece, I hope they made short work of the muther that triggered the IED. If you decide to drop in to see gunkid, don't forget to get his address, we might want to send him a christmas card!!
