Nice looking SKS!
Got any larger pics? That wood looks similar to how Raven-AIs looked before he refinished it.
Cant wait to hear a range report.

Great guns. I have a Yugo and a Russian.
I wouldn't trade them for guns that cost twice as much.

I should at least get another SKS or AK one of these days.

I'm a better shooter than photographer, honest.

Nice rifle. Now your in trouble though. They multiply, and so does the ammunition. Seriously, enjoy. If those rifles were not C&R imports they would cost three times the amount you paid, and still be worth it.

nice collection Terry, I've already got a few, but this is my first SKS and my first semi-auto. Check this out I've got an M1 comming soon, buying it from my brother who says he doesn't have time to shoot it anymore. He payed $600.00 for it 8 or 9 years ago and he's going to sell it to me for $300.00, NOW THATS FAMILY.
Copy, I think that you will enjoy your new semi-autos very much.

Your geting a Garand for $300.00? Now I'm jealous. I got hooked so bad that I tried to order a second one from CMP, but all they have is rack grade, with bore erosion. Make sure and post a picture when you get it. A friendly word of advice, get a good manual on maintenance. The M-1 needs grease, not oil to function properly.

I've already been reading up on it "luberplate". I'll be sure to post a pic. I'm actually downloading pictures of it right now that he sent to me, it will be the first I've seen of it as well.

Lubriplate is a common GM lubricant. It can be found in most dealer's parts dept.s.
Yes, they are pretty nice specimens, the Yugos. I noticed that there was niether bayonet nor grenade launcher sight. Mine came with them plus "accessories", ammo pouch, pull through, cleaning kit, etc. Bayonets can be found in Shotgun News. Seems you do have the gas shut-off valve on the gas block. It shuts the gas off for shooting blanks for launching grenades. This also makes it a single shot since it can't cycle itself. Leave the valve to the side for normal use. They are loads of fun but 7.62X39 ammo is getting pricey. Wolf calls their old mil-spec green case ammo "Military Classic" now and raised the price! All suppliers of AK & SKS ammo are claiming that there is a great demand for this ammo now and exports to America have been cut. YEAH!! In great demand by OUR ENEMIES!!
On a high note, I recently bought a very nice Yugo AK-47. Same nice "clean" shape as my unissued SKS. If you haven't disassembled your SKS for a thorough cleaning, that really needs to be done. Cosmolene is everywhere you haven't looked! "Brake-Kleen" works pretty good on that goo. (Get the non-chlorinated type.) We should ALL be at least as well armed as the enemy! And better shots, too.

Very nice looking M1. What's that Rooney looking crap on top of it? Is that called "tactical" equipment? I hope you didn't ruin a perfectly fine rifle just to mount that stuff.
