My apprentice and I just returned from working out in eastern Utah and into Colorado, we found this place just inside the Utah Border where there was lots of snow and Jack Rabbits, We had too much fun, we had our SKS units with Wolf Ammo, and that makes for some real challenge shooting them at over 100 yards, we missed alot and hit a few.
Most of the fun was watching the apprentice, he said he had never had that much fun.
We think if we would have had scoped rifles that it would have ruined the fun.
The Challenge is what made it fun. :)
Congrats! Challenge is what makes life worthwhile, at least for me. I've shot a few rabbits and they were always hard to hit.

And I thought you had 'hunting wabbits',...like hunting dogs except different,... not that you were hunting wabbits, not that some don't like hunting dogs, but that would be like hunting wabbits, except different..... :dgrin:

Well, no, not exactly, but yes, I , think. We were hunting rabbits and if we would of seen a coyote(Dog), we would have shot it too. I think.
I had a good "Hunting Dog", she died of cancer, if I ever retire, I will shop for another dog.

We have a lot of rabbits out here. My son wants to build a trap to catch it. I haven't helped him with it as we have enough animals already. I've seen a few prarie dogs here too but not many. They are kinda weird like a overgrown, slow, shaved squirrel.
