It appears we are moving in the right direction.
This thread made me pull my permit out of my wallet for a look, seems I'm EXPIRED! I wish Oregon would send out some type of notice! :headbang:

According to the Constitution all states should be in the green. 2A is an unalienable right and not subject to restriction by any form of government, state or federal. The RIGHT to bear arms shall not be infringed. How the **** can that be misinterpreted? I don't care how many commas you want to put in there.

Absolutely! Over time, that right has been reduced to being a privilege granted by the government. Same thing with the RIGHT to purchase a gun without asking permission first. The gov can completely shut down that right by simply pulling the plug on NICS and NO dealer can then legally hand over possession of a gun to you at that time. Mistake in the database? Tough, YOU have to prove it is a mistake. If you can. You are guilty until proven innocent.

NJ might as well be red, trying to get a CCW in Nj is pretty much impossible unless you're politically connected.

That map is dated 1986.
West Virginia is now a "shall issue" state.
So is Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Maryland is impossible to get a permit in.
I don't know about the rest.

Watch the map for a few minutes. It's an animated image that cycles through the years showing the changes in state status.....

Doesn't Alaska still issue a carry permit for reciprocity purposes? I thought I read something to that effect.
