Hi to all of you,
I am an Englishman living in Ohio, I moved here from the UK after the British goverment took nearly all of my Firearms away excpet for my Shotguns... I am now slowly replacing all of my lost weapons and look forward to taking part in this Forum.
Found the Forum while looking for an L1A1 one of the weapons I am working on replacing.

Welcome Aboard! Welcome to the good ole USA! Does this mean we now have an expert on the Martini-Henry, Lee Enfield, Webley and assorted guns of english flavors? :bird:

As the Lee Enfield and a Webley where the first rifle and pistol that the R.A.F taught me to shoot I have a very good knowledge of them, also the British version of the FN FAL (L1A1) and Browing Hi-Power. I have also over time owned, shot and done a reasonable amount of research on old english shotguns. I have always wanted a Martini-Henry but was unable to afford the ones I came across.

What happens when an Englishman lives in rural Ohio :-) I was born in Ohio. My advice is to stay out of Akron....And Youngstown..

Welcome...sorry to hear about the taking of your L1A1 and other arms over there.
My current FAL is a early Century Arms build on the L1A1 pattern.

Thats a safe distance from Akron and central Ohio is pretty nice country. As for the Martini-Henry I have a link here for you: http://www.ima-usa.com/index.php/cPath/29_61 They have a few rifles for a decent buck. Some impoter found a crap load of short and long lever Martini-Henry's and Pattern 1853 Enfields over in Nepal. I've been wanting the Martini-Henry rifle myself but I'm stretched thin with all my other nonesense.
