I built this M1 on a GI Springfield receiver and all GI metal small parts.
I installed a Wilson .308 barrel and the stock is commercial.

The scope is a 4X Leupold on an Amegarange Scout Mount. It came out real sweet, and even with my old eyes it will shoot 1.5 MOA. I have a "ton" of milspec surplus 7.62 ammo and need to burn it up before it goes stale!! ;)

BEAUTIFUL!!! [in every-sense of the SENSATIONS]

thanks, for sharin' those 'pic's' with other [albeit] trigger-pullers!!!

john, with those 'long eye relief scopes',,I'm thinkin'a person would have to rest/sand-bag the forearm of those 'sweeties' for hits at 200 yards![or suffer 'swingin'/runnin' miss's']

correct me 'sir' on the 'ere' of my view.

awesome-rifles, brother.

That is the down side. The upside is the scope is mounted directly over the bore and does not interfere with loading!

I use low power scopes, also.

Very nice. I like the idea of a fixed 4x. I had dreams of building an all-weather Ruger 77/44 in a configuration not unlike your rifles.
