My new Patch Knife

Just showing off my new patch knife, I can shave with it if I have too.
It's a Green River Russel, I made the handle out of thick rawhide, it's glued and riveted.

patch/razor-knive!!!,,,I'VE 'once' bought-one myself @ the vincennes annul RONDIE!,,, although, the blade WAS MADE -O-STAINLESS!!!,,,IT WAS 'cheap'[$40 patch-knive],,,I sent 'it' up-stream with a FRIEND from 'long-island',,,,but then again HE is a ****IN' NEW-YORKER! :rolleyes:

Nice, fffg100grns. Did you treat the rawhide in any particular way? Did you harden it by soaking it in resin or something?

Thanks for the posts, The knife works great, I like the slim handle as it fits where I put it, I did nothing to the Rawhide, it seemed pretty stiff to begin with. The blade makes me happy, it trims patches nicely but I do need to sharpen it after about 25 rounds. It lives in a sheath on the shoulder strap of my possibles bag. It's a Green River, I got a Fox Valley Tanning near by and they sell Green rivers for a good price.

I expect razor blade performance out of it.
