I finaly got it. J&G was not at it's best for service. I ordered it on 4/4/07 and didn't get it until 4/13/07. Not their best effort. The computer kept kicking in my expired C&R license, not the renewed one I sent them three weeks prior. Anyway, it showed up. Finish not terribly great, holster wear on the front of the slide, and a wear mark under the trigger guard. Some scratches on the grips on the left side. I've heard from other sources that this is common. A pistol rack scar? Anyway, the internals were absolutely perfect. Firing pin, extractor, hammer springs, etc. like new. I was prepared for the "Smooth Bore" that many people go to pieces over. It does look weird. It appears that it is a smooth bore, no rifling at all. A couple of comment's have been, "Christ, this gun is shot out!" or "They let this one out of the factory with no rifling." The polygon rifling is there, and it's good. The magazines (12 rounders) were brand new. That's right, not a slide mark on them. I fired 70 something rounds and accuracy was good at fifty feet; certainly enough for combat accuracy. The trigger is very good double and single action, better than my Bulgarian Makarov, but The German Makarov is a tad more accurate in my opinion. I had one failure to fire using Wolf ammunition. A second hit fired it. I like the gun, but truth to be told, the Makarov's (German, Russian, and Bulgarian) are certainly as good for this type of pistol. The 12 round magazine is a plus. I put a magazine full of JHP's (Wolf) through it with no problem. Get one if you can before they are gone. The holster looks funny, my Daughter asked me if I was wearing a purse.
