I got an SEI Picatinney mount for my M1-A coming in and I don't even want to talk about how much it and any other decent mount for the beast has gone up........ if you can find one in stock!!!!! :rolleyes: :headbang:


I almost went ahead and bought the longer but even more costly :rolleyes: one that was 2" longer for use with NODs; like I really needed that. :bird:

Actually the mount is "in" I ordered it through a local shop after trading in an old large pin Colt lower towards it. Just won't be picking it up until next pay day(yep I'm back to working gotta support my "gun habit" :madeuce: ).

Has a nice long NSN# and US Property stamp, like WTF-Over after what I'm paying it ought to have "BigEd's Friggin Property" stamped on it. :rolleyes:

Now I gotta hope my low mount 30mm Warne's will let my scope clear the hooded NM peep on the rear sight until I can afford a decent set of QD rings of the proper height. :scatter:

Ed, please tell us more about your scope mount and putting it on the M1A. A range report would be nice. IMO Warne makes fine mounting rings and bases; I have them on my 7x57 Mauser and don't think I can get any better.

Will do when I get it, right now at work on break. I'll post a pic, from SEI's websight, that I have saved to my PC at home. shows a good up close of the mount and all the fancey #'s on it.
