Went to the San Angelo gun show today and picked up my first Moisin-Nagant 1891/30. The date on the barrle is 1942. Will post pics when I get my camera back.

Cool. While I owned one once, many years ago when the only available non-corrosive ammo was Norma, and sold it soon after (should've kept it), I've shot several owned by friends. They are fun and accurate.

I had several of them. They can be great fun.

Right now I'm on a quest for a laminated stocked M44 carbine.

The MN is a neat rifle. My only one is a M38 with laminated stock,

My Dad talked me out of buying the m38. He said the thing would kick like a mule. I will evenually get one though.

Have one laid away now, M 44 carbine. Should get it next mo. Appears to be in good shape with nice bore, bayo looked new, stock very good. Seen pix of shooters with bayonet fixed and they were roasting wieners with the muzzle flash. Hmmm... mashmallows....sheesh-ka-bob.....(nyuk). Time to get the cosmo tools out.
