These are some that I found. The first two are Messerschmitt 109's and the last two are Focke Wulf 190's.

Wow! You sure know your warplanes. I've never really studied them; I just dream about owning and flying one.
You know, Kind of like Snoopy and the Red Baron.

I love the F-16 and F-15's. After watching the F-22 fly, I was awestruck. That is a truly amazing aircraft. I can't wait to see the JSF go through it's paces.

I remember back in the late 80's and just before storm that the AF was talking about retiring the a-10 and bring back the p-51. The thought was (as I heard and I'm no authority) that the 51 can carry as much armament as the a-10 and the 51 was much cheaper to use... Thought I'd throw that in after seeing a picture of it.

I don't think the P-51 could do the job of the A-10. (A skyraider might be a closer match, but I doubt it...)

There is another bird you guys seem to forget that an old infantryman loves to see circle the battlefield like a Buzzard, the AC-130. It may not be slick or pretty but it hangs around a lot longer than the F-16s and can take more abuse than one, not to mention shoots back a lot harder and faster. It is funny that all the generals in the Air Force want stealthy supersonic multirole jets and the guys on the ground want there to be aircraft that start with A up in the sky. I believe the Air Force was going to try a 30MM gun pod under the F-16 to replace the A-10, I don't know what happened to that experement. I'm guessing it was to much recoil on the hardpoint, not to mention no armored bathtub for the pilot. I guess nobody has pointed out to these gentlemen that when you hang all those bombs on those supersonic birds it adds a lot of drag and viola! you now have a really expensive subsonic aircraft. So here are a couple of pictures of my favorite birds.
Outstanding photos, one and all. Thanks!
RIKA :)

The Arkansas Air Guard just got Warthogs.
Fitting as they'll also have a "Hog" emblem on them.

Hey,
They fly Mustangs here out of my back yard, (I'm one mile from the airport).
Always stops me "dead in my tracks" when they fly over, and over, and over...
Been told they also give lessons to fly them here in Bartow for about 1K an hour!

Only 1K? Just put it on my mastercard. (Just kidding).
It is neat that you get to see the planes.

VNE is for wussies! If the wings ain't bending, you ain't flying!
If I ever bought a sports car like a vette or a porsche, my license plate would be "NO VNE"
