When Bob Stewart of Maadi Griffin was arrested, his mailing lists and all future inquiries were being looked into by the Bad Attitude Toward Freedom organization.

Serbu Arms does make a .50 cal much like the Maadi Griffin. But nobody seems to have any spare parts for the old Maadis.

Unless you want to take a chance of having a fed show up at your door some day, I would not access any sites that take you to Maadi Griffin.

The Reader's Digest version is that Stewart was arrested, the feds moved in and seized control of his business. They took over the ordering department and followed through on people Stewart had addresses for.

By rumor (I never got to ask Mr. Stewart), the feds confiscated all the kits they could find through Stewart's old records.

It ended up with the feds in control of the Maadi Griffin end of the company and Mr. Stewart's family trying to make ends meet off of other non - gun related items on their site.

After Mr. Stewart's conviction and failed appeal attempt, I lost contact with him.

they are avail for download if you are a subscriber on homegunsmith.com.

iirc, its around $35 a yr, but well worth it if your lookking for blans/blueprints, ect.

as was said, you WILL have to make ALL of the pcs from scratch, as they arent made commercially before.

the way i remember the story, the atf decided that these diy kits were more than "80%" finished, so legally needed to be transfered by liscenced ffl's, which is why he got arrested.

I have an original book with the set of blueprints included. Would like to reproduce it if it's not copyrighted or the copyright expired.

And yes, the ATF decided that the partial receiver (though it required finishing, welding, etc.) was a firearm and so Mr. Stewart was put in the Graystone Motel for doing something most of us think is perfectly legal.
