Due to the overwhelming response from Carson City’s NRA members, Sheriff Ken Furlong announced the removal of the serial number requirement from his Right-to-Carry permit applications. Sheriff Furlong had overhauled his Right-to-Carry permit application process to require the applicant to include the serial numbers of the firearms a permittee would be qualifying with and carrying.
