Just wanted to say a quick hello to all and introduce myself. I have been lurking around from time to time and finally decided to join up. There seems to be a lot of great experience to tap into here and I look forward to occasionally throwing in my 2 cents.

I've been shooting for about 25 years and enjoy shooting everything from black powder to black rifles. I have always found the information on forums like this much more valuble than the paid for "reviews" in the gun magazines.

To finish up, one of my favorite thoughts on gun control (I think I read it in a Jeff Cooper column) "There is no greater evil then to put a good man at the mercy of bad one" Always felt that summed up gun control pretty well.

Although I still favor the wheelgun (my Colt Python is a "Steinway") and I believe the late Jeff Cooper favored the great 1911-A-1, he made a telling point about practice-and more practice. Believe he said something like "Just because you own a guitar doesn't mean you are a musician". Words of Wisdom-
