We lost a friend today. We, both as gunowners and as a Nation. Regardless of a given American's poitics, we should all be saddened by the loss of William F. Buckley. He always made us think and challenge our comfortable notions about our Nation and our freedom.

Yes. What a giant of an intellect. I have subscribed to National Review for maybe thirty years and read almost every page of every issue. Have also read many of his books. The next issue will be a keepsake and will be framed and hang in my den right under the 31 August 1992 issue. That issue has a picture of Ronald Reagan on the cover which he signed for me.
I told the wife shortly after Pat, his beloved wife died, that Bill would follow her shortly.
Great that he went while doing what he loved and did so very well.
