I need someone to explain to me how to do this again.
Yesterday I went out to target pratice and I'm way off. My rifle was sighed it for short yards 76 to short for my 22-250. So I went out onto BLM land and found a nice spot it was about 250 yds
so here is my problem,
I was shooting 4 "high and 6"right. I'm used too the old Scopes that are
1/4" @ 100 yds.
The new Scope I have is the 1/4" MOA.
The Second part is if I'm shooting high do I turn my scope the same way The bullets are going or do I go oppisite?

One 1/4" = 1/4-MOA for your purposes.

Move your scope's adjusments the way you want the bullet to go.

The simple explanation is 1 Minute Of Angle (or Arc) is equal to 1" at 100 yards. If your new scope has 1/4 MOA adjustments at 250 yards 1 click equals 2 1/2 X 1/4"= 5/2 X 1/4"= 5/8". As far as which direction to turn the adjustments, most scope's adjustments have an arrow with Up or down and L or R, the arrow tells you which way the bullet moves. For starters try: 5 clicks down, 9 clicks right. That should get you close. The worst that could happen is you fire again and realize you turned the adjustments the wrong way and now your 8" and 12" off, crank it back the other way and you'll be fine.

I just reread what I posted, I must have been daydreaming, you need to go down and left.

for what it is worth, what i do is just think in moa's (full, half or 1/4) and move the scope accordingly or there is a math equation you can use to figure out how many "clicks" to move it. i think it is if you need to come 18 inches left at 600 hundred one moa at 600 is 6 so you divide 6 into 18 (3) and times that by how many clicks per moa on your scope. 5 at 500 4 at 400 etc. so if it is 1/4 clicks then you would need to come 12 clicks.
i dont know maybe i just made myself sound like a dumbass too? but it works for me:unhappy:eek:
