Sometimes, when our M4 and Pythons can not be made available, an improvised device can be of help. Some improvised devices provide a larger measure of, if I may borrow an expression, plausible deniability in case of certain kind of situations. One of these devices is the conduit bending spring.

Give one a try and you’ll find that it replaces very well a spring baton or billy club. And it is a construction tool that’s easier to explain than a baton or club.

Although one’s first tendency is probably to modify it by adding weight at one end, I suggest against it. Once modified in any way, the plausible deniability goes out the window. And it is cheap enough as to be disposable. Just remember, although they are light and flexible, they can easily kill a human if applied to the head of the target with a certain amount of enthusiasm.

They come in different lengths and weights so it is easy to choose the best for our needs and even to have a small collection to choose from, according to the case.

And who knows, you MAY have to bend a conduit, someday. :dgrin:

Thank you. I have so little to share that's a real pleasure when I find something suitable.

Cool idea!

I'll have to check into them at the local hardware store.

BTW- If you get questioned about having it and "don't look the part" of an electrician or whatever with whatever impliment you got.

Just say you are gonna volunteer for something like Habitat for Humanity.

Keep a pair of work gloves and glasses in the car and I'lll bet you won't have any problems.:wavey:
