BTW,Brass,iff you are looking for affordable fixed blades that are suprisingly useful;check out the Cold Steel Scimitar Spike( as well as the Tokyo and Scottish Spikes) for sale on Knifecenter.com.I Have one of the Scimitars and like it a lot. The hilt is still a bit narrow,but the way it is curved gives you enough to hang on to and reinforce a thrust with the palm. And knob formed at he base of the hilt gives you a good impact tool as well as a counter weight in your fist for draw cuts and slashing type blows whether or not you go saber grip or outboard.Best Cheapo I ever carried!:cool:
