5 yds, was quite feasible to average, after a bit of practice, with M36 Smith .38 and an upside down ankle rig that I made for it. Had to have a "garter" that suspended it from above the calf, Used a thumbsnap AND a tension welt to secure it. However, VIOLENT activity would still let the gun hit the deck. I once launched a really strenuous side thrust kick at a really vicious dog's head, right downtown in Litchfield, ILL, and the damned .38 went bouncing down the sidewalk. Dog took off, but I had to retrieve the gun and slink back to the gunshop I was working in. Gave up on the ankle rig idea, on the spot. A "right side up" ankle rig is so slow, if you have time to access it, you could have just tackled the guy and twisted his head around.(ie, 2.5 seconds or more)

According to your arrest reports. it took exactly two (p*****s) like me to take you down; not once, not twice, but three times. U.S. Marshal's alway's go in two man teams, SOP. John was not considered to be a dangerous enough offender to require an additional team. On one instance, you were arrested by phone, weren't you, John? You were told to come in, and meekly submitted. A dozen law enforcement officer's? How about an old lady in a wheelchair with a can of pepper spray?

You were told to show up at the CPM's office, and you did so, like a good inmate. When the officer's told you to turn around and put your hands behind your back, what did you do? Snap kick them with your Korean/Japanese bata boots? They would have killed you, and you know it. .
