for maintenance of A class performance, rifle and pistol, that is. 1000 rds of 223 a year, 2000 rds of 9x19 a year. Another 50c a day covers a LOT of .22 shooting, thru the conversion units and the M21 pocket-trainer. That's 10,000 rds a year, which is quite a lot of realistic training(with both rifle and pistol).

Half of that probably suffices, actually, leaving another $90 to spend on primers and wax to fire thru the .45, moving at hyper-speeds. At about 5c per shot, that's 1800 rds of wax. That's a really good workout on the fast draw, pivot and fire, traverse and fire, aerial targets, etc, many times per year. Say 50 rds per session, that's 3 such sessions per month, or 35 rds per weekend.

$2 a day is NOTHING, man. Just don't have that candy bar and that pop, or half of that pack of smokes, or that beer, and you can have a lot more ability and fun.

For those of us that actually do practice, it could be the key to survival if the balloon ever goes up.

I agree; it's not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things. It's a matter of priorities, and most Americans' priorities are pathetic.

I've met people so broke they "can't buy food or diapers", but never met anyone who was so broke they didn't have beer & cigarettes.
