only an idiot would choose the former, and that's what you are choosing when you choose a 38 snub and plus P 158' gr lhp's. Repeat hits run .35 second. With an SA 9mm, repeat hits run .16-.17 second. Only an ignorant fool expects ONE hit to suffice. It MIGHT, but it could EASILY be a poor hit, or a complete miss, too, or a good hit with an inadequate amount of shock and tissue destruction. The sort of guy who settles for a .38 snub is more likely to have .45 sec splits, too, because of lack of adequate trainging and practice. those serious enough to REALLY go after real defensive ability don't settle for half assed gear, or half assed levels of skill with any gear.

So thats the reason you have a cobbled up Star, a paper and plastic sleeping bag held together with duct tape, cruddy knives. Guess your 1/2 day FTX'es are real tough man of action training.

HAHAHA!

MY "loadout" is carryable, yours is not

so you are fos. Where I'd be, a heavy, bulky sleeping bag is just a waste. Long before the Heavy duty Mylar gives out, I'll be "in place" where it's not cold much at all, and by then, i'll have taken a dozen sleeping bags from the dead, if I want them.

Yep, you're too much of a wuss to carry anything useful. Be interesting to see how you're going to make it from Colorado to Mexico in two days though, since that's how long your plastic baggie you plan to sleep in would last.

Does the word pandemic come to anyone's mind, when you hear something this stupid?

1 hit, .34 sec, or 3 hits, same time? only an idiot would choose the former
Or four .36-caliber hits simultaneously? You say all defensive shooting is short range, and four 000 buckshot from a .410 revolver objectively fits your (multiple-hit, short-distance-only) requirements better than the star 9mm or a .38 revolver either one. Four hits per trigger pull, five trigger pulls, that's 20 hits in two seconds or so. And that's from the short 2 1/2" version. The 3" version is five .36-caliber projectiles per trigger pull; or 25 impacts in two seconds or so. Not my gun of choice, but based on your constant claims of what the situation 'will be', it's objectively better than either of the guns you list here.

You brag about using cobbled-up gear all the time (trash bags, dumpster cardboard, 18" of random debris on the floor of your shelter, etc), then call that same behavior half-assed. Interesting.

By the way, same question I've been asking since 5/2/21 - where did you see James Yeager recommending an SBR-length 223 with a silencer as "the way to go"...?
