the demand is present, and a helluva lot of that was BEFORE there was much of an Internet, gun-forums, etc. With 15 other can books, videos, newsletter, generic gun book, and so on, guaranteed 30-40k a year, EASY money. Lots of free time to expand into other things. :) There's a tremendous backlog of demand for 80% finished receivers, and a great need of an effective walking stick. Blind trusts, spare ID's, disguises, etc, with which to open bank accounts, businesses based overseas, and so on, gets REALLY difficult to "follow the money", and there's nothing illegal about it in the first place. :)

Well, here's one of those interesting cause and effect deals.

Because of the losses due to identity theft and bogus identities, some very interesting ID's are coming out. Currently a new passport is under trials. The passport includes a smart chip that holds biometric data. (The US and Europe are arguing, er, debating over which data should be included)

When you present the passport, the chip is read and the biometrics are compared with you. (And no, these aren't the kind of biometrics that can be fooled with disguises or plastic surgery.)

They don't match, you go to jail. cool, huh?

The technology is expected to start showing up in drivers licenses, atm cards, and credit cards very shortly thereafter.

Cry foul, cry mark of the beast, whatever. It's people like Andy with these kinds of schemes that are expediting the acceptance of the technology and loss of privacy.

Purely cause and effect.

The cause - idiots trying to buck the law and profit ilegally.

The effect - technology applied to make it impssoble to do.

Except, you would also have to reprogram the database they are attached to. It's a three part system - you, the card, and the backend database.

All three agree or you are in kimchee. You can re-program the card all you want. You won't have access to the database on the government's end of things...

Kinda makes it all very difficult...

Yes, it sucks big time.

However, what can we expect with all the scams and crap people like Andy either pull of or espouse? (He recently posted about how much money he could pull in by scaming mad checks.)

People don't like getting ripped off. They will accept a lot of questionable help if it stops the loss.

It's all cause and effect. Don't get mad at the Government, your anger should be solely with those creating the problem in the first place.

No cause, then no effect. Eliminate the cause, eliminate the effect.
