a solid tin, hollowbased, 90 gr swc, at 2100 fps wont do, and the latter offers .25 second splits, on 10" at 15 ft, h a 31 oz, 7.8", fully concealable gun. The .44 mag offers nothing of the kind. this lw, very hard, nose heavy bullet has proven, repeatedly, that it will exit the ribcage of a big Hereford bull. So the penetration IS present. Then a 2 second mag swap, jack of the slide, and you can have 70 gr, 3 segment prefrags, at 2300 fps. The spare mag is full of the swc loads, the carry mag has the Split Nose prefrags. So all it takes, to have fine penetration on big animals (or cars) and 6" groups at 50m, is a mag swap. all it takes to QUIETLY take a small critter is draw the OTHER pistol, the canned M21 Beretta pocket .22. Sort of makes a .44 revolver look SICK by comparison.
