The fact that you simply don't like the particular gun that it's fired from does NOT magically mean that a softpoint or hollowpoint bullet running at nearly Mach2 is magically rendered incapable of expansion....It's only got 900 ft lbs at the muzzle, and no expansion in flesh, of course...
Roughly 16" of penetration, PLUS expansion to 0.62"; more than double the bullet's original size. And it's not just an S&B fluke. The Federal and Hornady averaged nearly .48" expansion, even after much greater penetration.
