post a damned thing about TIMED standards of skill, not with longarms, not with pistol. There's a reason for that to be the case. :) 90+% aint GOT a timer, those who do are EMBARRASSED at how slow they are.

Well, maybe everyone else isn't an egomaniac.

A person can post or not post anything they want to. To actually prove anything, the claimants would have to show up for a meet.

All in all, BFD, gun games at matches do NOT match reality. This is real life, not a Hollywood western and you're not John Thomas Rourke.

May I suggest spending a bit more time and effort getting your camping gear and woodman's skills dilemma squared away.
No sh!t Sherlock!

Regauardless of how important being a 'top hand' is to you, I don't let my life revolve around how fast I can draw a weapon.

Never have had to and hope to never have to. I do have enough confidence that I'd be able to handle a situation when it arrises.

Being able to drive a car like a stunt man could surely save my life some day but I'm not going to spend my life training for that time.

I'll manage just fine even if I'm not a Rob Lathum.
andy!

GARAND, posted just a couple of days ago?

They're starting to turn on you MELVIN. You have over exposed yourself, and your freaky ideas. Your obsessions have become boring to everybody.

But, keep it up MELVIN, there may be a couple of people in Cucamonga, that haven't been exposed to your tirades.

Time?

OK, according to the clock on my monitor it's 11:59 here right now. :nyah:
Actually my 2 Vaquero's are in .44 Magnum, but I shoot alot of .44 Special in them too. Last year I shot a man on man at 25-50 yds, 5 targets with a Marlin M1894S starting with an empty chamber in 6.83 seconds. By the way, IPSC ISN"T REALITY! So where does a timer fit in tactical training? Tactical movement in a hostile area has very little to do with speed. It is very difficult to scan areas of concealment and cover for a hostile, before you enter a potential ambush site, while running like a freaken jack rabbit. If your shot placement is good with the first bullet, there is no need to waste your time worrying about splits. They are redundent.
IPSC aint real, but neither is any firearms training or practice unless all your training to do is shoot paper.

The idea is to get the training as real as possible. That means force on force using paintballs, bb guns, airsoft, simunition, whatever. AS WELL AS timed live fire shooting at targets.
No, what garnad posted was SLOWFIRE. what YOU "think" is a "standard of skill" :)

he has standards, they're very low, but he does have them.

He does have this fetish for timers, which is a severe indication that he thinks survival in a tactical situation is nothing more than a game. A game he will loose.
My time here right now 11:54 CST.
