9mm and .45 ball bullets, got 600 ft lbs out of the 9mm. The .45 "didn't respond as well" because they were scared to push the lousy 20,000 PSI liimit of the SAAMI spec for .45 ACP. With a fully supported barrel, the .45 can easily handle 30,000 CUP. Add the thicker case of the 460 Rowland, it can handle 35,000 CUP. Add the longer case of the Rowland, and shorter bullets, and hollowbasing, and some REAL potential is obviously present.
