by comparison, same size gun, and it does so in a gun that's easier to ccw, has a .22 unit, has low cost, readily available ammo, etc. Hey dummies, the ONLY diff between Rowland and .45 ACP is a barrel and spring swap. Takes about 20 seconds to swap calibers. between Rowland and .45 ACP. If use the "all caliber" Spld Ejector, and their slides, you can swap to 9mm just as fast, too. If not, only adds about 1 minute to swap ejectors.

The Rowland gets a 200 gr jhp. to 1450 fps, in a gun that's only 8.5" long. A 4" barreled N frame smith is 9.5" long. Cut that barrel to 3", and SEE if your .41 can get a 200 gr jhp to 1450 fps. It can't. Put a 6" barrel in the 1911, and the .460 will get that 200 gr jhp to 1500 fps, too. The 4" 41 will do nothing of the kind. Nor is .41 ammo $20 per 100 rds at Wally world, like bulk pack .45 ACP is.

think what u want, dumb [**censored**]. :-)

Several of my buddies had or still have Blackhawks, M57's, M58's, etc. .41's a joke. The .45 L COLT beats it, and can use .45 ACP bullets, far more readily available. Given the .45 ACP cylinder, it can use .45 ACP ammo.

Too easy, just stick with a .45 acp! Parts, components, powder, primers, bullets are readily available and cheap. Top it off the .45acp has 93 years of combat experience.

the .45 ACP has lots of LIES told about

it, mostly. It was NOT used against the Moros, in the Philippines, for instance. :) The Phillipine Insurrection was OVER with before the 1911 saw general issue. 'The 9mm and .45 ball are nearly identical in performance. With a good chest hit, they stop guys about 2 times in three, if the guys are really intent on continuing the attack. Oftentimes, all soldiers really WANT is a good excuse to get out of the fighting. Especially, late in the War, which IS when the US got into the World Wars. LATE. The Europeans had been fighting Hitler for nearly 4 years before D Day, ya know. Ditto in WW1.

Ya, I know my grandfather was there in 1914. So how much combat experience has the .460 seen?

So, you're saying an army that pretty much defeated most of the world decided that it really wanted out and that they whole thing was just a silly misunderstanding? And that's why when they were shot with .45's they decided to die?

Do you really beleive this crap? Do you think about it befire you write it?

Except, that I don't recall anyone talking about ccw of the .41. In fact living in an OPEN CARRY STATE, ccw of the .41 isn't even a consideration. Especially since I can legally carry both openly and concealed (I have a permit for ccw).

And as far as the rowland making the .41 look weak, or whatever the point is you're trying to make. So what? So the ammo isn't as plentiful as the .45 (which IS my primary carry gun), again so what? who cares? Ammo's more expensive - big deal - it's my wallet why should you care?

It's about HUNTING and ENJOYMENT. It's not about SHTF, it's not about CCW, it's not about gunning down scores of people to take their supplies because of being too inept to properly prepare.

Some people can AFFORD to have fun.
